The Call by the River Bank

Stealing people’s moments especially when they are not aware of it. Free from all pretensions and external pressures. That’s when you get a glimpse of who they really are. Their sorrows, sadness, happiness, despair, aspirations, anger, joy , all written on their faces and above all beauty that mixes sometimes with anxiety and deep thought. Sometimes I dare not intrude no matter how badly I want to. Sometimes I have to remind myself why I do what I do. Other times, it goes beyond whether I want to or not . I simply have to.Unquestionably. Increasingly undeniable. That urge, like an itch that just won’t go away.

I watched this Man come down to the River to wash up. To get a bit of relief from the scorching sunlight. I looked at his clothes, then his hands, I knew immediately that he was one of the Quarry workers nearby. A Hard worker. Unaware as I simply clicked away.

The Call by the River bank ;
Come to me
and I will wash you clean .
To be reborn.
To be whole .
To live.
To be pure
Untamed, honest
and free.
Let me sooth your pain
For I am life itself. – (Musings by  CHIDALU)
